About Valurex
Valurex is an exchange for crypto, US stocks and commodities, all priced in MOON, the Valurex token. Membership is by invitation, every account is verified by our team, and every action on the platform is recorded.
Synthetic stock and commodity markets
Stocks and commodities on Valurex are synthetic, price-tracking instruments. Each one follows the real-world price of a share or a commodity. You trade the price movement and gain or lose as it moves. You do not own the share and you do not receive the physical goods: there are no voting rights, no dividends and no delivery. Every stock and commodity market is labelled Synthetic in the app.
Crypto markets (Bitcoin, Ethereum and the rest) are spot digital assets held on the platform ledger.
One unit of a synthetic market equals one unit of the real-world quote:

How prices work
Index price. For every asset we collect live US dollar prices from several trusted sources, compare them, and ignore any price that is far from the others. The result is the asset's index price.
Fair price in MOON. Markets are priced in MOON, so the index is converted with MOON's reference price, which comes from the MOON/USDT market. The converted value is the fair price shown on each trading screen.
Safety checks. A sudden extreme jump pauses the affected market instead of letting it trade at a wrong price. If live prices stop arriving, the market stops accepting new orders until they are back (you can still cancel). Valurex staff can also freeze a price or pause a market.
Always a counterparty. Valurex runs market-making bots that keep buy and sell orders around the fair price in every market, so there is someone to trade with from day one.
Market hours
Crypto and MOON/USDT trade 24/7. Stocks and commodities follow the opening hours of their real-world market. While that market is closed, each Valurex market works in one of three ways, shown on its trading screen:
- Trading 24/7: trading continues; prices can move more when the real market reopens.
- Cancel-only: you can cancel orders but not place new ones until it reopens.
- Paused: the market waits for the real market to reopen.

Market data. Index prices are derived from public market data, on-chain price feeds and other public sources, combined and checked by Valurex.
